Frost Your Nuts Run 2008
What a gorgeous day Saturday, October 11. As usual, we started the day at Dick's for Bloody Marys (a bit of sticker shock as they went for the traditional 99 cents to $1.75. Still reasonable, but nearly double the old price.)
Off to the Mallalieu to ogle bikes and get a map. I haven't seen an official numbers, but I'd guess it rivaled the 1999 record crowd of 4000 bikes. The weather was certainly as nice as that day.
The official stops were in Somerset, the Crossroads (46 & 64), Boardman and Burkhardt. As has also become somewhat the norm for us, we mostly reversed the route by going staright to Burkhardt before heading to the Crossroads and Boardman. We skipped Somerset altogether but had a large detour to the Cave Bar in Hersey. It was just too nice for the short official route.
