People are already asking about next year so I thought I should address the question.  This turnned out to be quite a bit more work than I expected and right now, it seems like it lasted too long.  Actual participation definitely tapered off in the last several weeks.

At this point, I'm inclined to do it again.  I think I can tweak my process to reduce the workload a little.  We learned some things about what works and what  doesn't so as a beta release, the league went pretty well.  All in all, it was fun.  Assuming we do it again, we'll have some more clearly defined rules and expectations for everybody.
