Football, football, football
The seasons of my two favorite football teams have ended.
The Huskers season ended with another close loss to a higher ranked team. Looking back, it wasn't a bad season. We didn't have many wins against quality teams, but, we didn't really get blown out either. I'm still not feeling totally behind Callahan but I did see improvement this year. Hopefully, next year he'll have enough players for his system to make a serious run at a Top Ten finish.
As for the Vikings, I'm not that optiistic about them at all. Childress really doesn't seem to have a clue and is as paranoid as Denny G, maybe worse, but never says ANYTHING to the public about what's going on. I hate that in coaches. Why be a fan if the coaches and ownership don't care enough about fans to talk to them about where the team is headed. Bring back Mike Tice. AT least he was funny.
Finally, the BCS Championship Game is tonight and I've totally lost interest. Waiting a whole week after New Years and not even having it in a regular bowl game is just ridiculous. I don't care who wins but I think it would be more interesting if Florida wins so we can have a full blown controversy about who should be #1. There would be several teams, including Ohio St if the game was really close, who could make good arguments (In my mind, Boise St isn't one of them. They really need to play a better schedule for me to take them seriously, even if they did beat the Big 12 Champ).
