Weekend at the Creamery

What a great weekend!  Despite some less than perfect weather, we had the most riding of the season.  Friday afternoon, we took the slab to 128 and then down through Elmwood to Downsville and checked in to the Creamery Inn.  Up to Menomonie for supplies and then back to the room to relax and eat our free gourmet appetizers.  In room continental breakfast Saturday AM, then off to Eau Galle cuz never been there and up to Woodville for the annual Syttende Mai celebration, which commemorates the adoption of the Norwegian Constitution.  We hit town in the middle of the parade, so, had to go around and walk in from the north.  Ate fair food, had a few beverages, ducked in out of the rain and watched our first ever Pedal Tractor Pull.  A little 8-yr old girl went 31 feet, wasting all the competition.  Back to the Inn for appetizers again and our dinner reservation at 7:30.  Incredible food and service.  Another in room breakfast and then packed up for the road home.  Decided to stay for the brunch, which, like dinner was exceptional.  Took a wrong turn on the way home, but, an OK, if chilly,  ride through the countryside to River Falls for a break.  Then, we slabbed it home from there.

Sometime this week, I need to attempt to set up our new LRM-519 DVR/DVD recorder.  I'm anxious to jump into the Tivo-like world, but, not sure I have the energy yet.
